We provide accounting, payroll, tax preparation, tax planning, tax resolution, and CFO advisory services.Our mission is to become the most trusted financial partner for small business owners by combining U.S. CPA leadership with highly skilled accounting and tax professionals based in India.We are seeking a highly practical and experienced U.S. Tax & Accounting Manager who has worked with multiple U.S. CPA firms or through an offshore accounting/tax outsourcing organization serving numerous U.S. CPA firm clients.This is a hands-on management role, not a purely compliance-focused tax position.Working Hours:Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM (IST) (One hour break from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM IST).Home Office RequirementsTo ensure productivity and uninterrupted work, candidates must have:A dedicated, quiet, and distraction-free workspaceA laptop with dual monitorsHigh-speed internet with minimum speeds of:150 Mbps download9 Mbps upload(Test your speed atwww.speedtest.net)Backup internet solution (e.g., mobile hotspot or alternate broadband)Reliable power supply with a backup source (e.g., inverter or UPS)Noise-cancelling headset for virtual meetings.Position SummaryThe U.S. Tax & Accounting Manager will oversee client accounting and tax engagements, mentor junior team members, review work quality, assist with tax planning and tax resolution projects, and serve as a technical resource for the accounting and tax team.The ideal candidate has experience working with multiple U.S. businesses across various industries and understands how accounting, payroll, sales tax, tax planning, and tax preparation work together.Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial ReviewReview monthly and year-end bookkeeping engagementsReview reconciliations including bank, credit card, loan, payroll, and balance sheet accountsReview financial statements and identify inconsistencies or unusual transactionsAssist with cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping projectsGuide staff in maintaining accurate General Ledger recordsReview adjusting journal entries and year-end accounting adjustmentsTax Preparation & ReviewPrepare and review:Form 1040Form 1040NRForm 1065Form 1120Form 1120SState tax returnsReview workpapers and supporting schedulesIdentify tax risks, omissions, and planning opportunitiesAssist with complex business and individual tax engagementsTax PlanningIdentify proactive tax-saving opportunities for business ownersAssist with entity selection and restructuring discussionsSupport quarterly tax planning engagementsAnalyze compensation structures, shareholder distributions, and estimated tax strategiesAssist clients with year-end tax minimization planningTax ResolutionReview IRS notices and correspondenceAssist with transcript analysisSupport installment agreements and compliance projectsHelp gather documentation for tax resolution casesCoordinate with senior tax professionals on complex IRS mattersTeam Leadership & MentoringReview work prepared by junior accountants and tax preparersProvide constructive feedback and coachingAssist in developing training materials and SOPsSupport technical growth of team membersHelp develop future reviewers and senior staffProject ManagementManage multiple client engagements simultaneouslyMonitor project deadlines and workflow progressCoordinate work among accounting and tax team membersEscalate issues proactivelyEnsure timely and accurate client deliverables
