Summary:The Field Trainer will be responsible for New Hire Onboarding training and leading or coordinating other initiative based market training as needed. Will coordinate with Learning & Department and field leadership to determine training priorities. Reports to the Director of Functional Learning Pay Class: Full Time Remote Travel: Frequent Overnight travel, dependent on business needs Pay: $62,671-83,562 SalariedEssential Responsibilities:Facilitation of Onboarding/Orientation and New Hire training programsFacilitation of Initiative training programsCommunicate/Report with GMs, TD, RVP regarding New Hire training and progressUse technology to facilitate remote training sessions.Schedule training classes and communicate dates and times.Follow up on new hires who have completed training to identify additional development needs.Partner with L&D to identify and contract for outside training venues when needed.Partner with L&D to provide ongoing training for TDs, GMs and Associates in market.Attend Train the Trainer sessions and other meetings as required in San Antonio or other markets.10. Participate in developing and provides feedback on training materials and courses. 11. Facilitate other training courses as defined by the Learning & Development Department. 12. Maintain training supplies and equipment. 13. Set up and maintenance of training facilities.Education:Preferred Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of experience and educationExperience and Skills:Three (3) plus years of related work experience in vision industry, preferred.Three (3) plus years of management/leadership experience.Prior experience in training or developing others highly desired.Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.Knowledge of Learning and Development (T&D) functions and practices; ability to evaluate, follow, and lead L&D.Efficient time management, self-starter with ability to prioritize.Strong presentation skills and ability to speak in front of large groups.Ability to adapt to varying learning styles and abilities of learners.Knowledge of the concepts and practices of adult learning, and the ability to apply these concepts and practices to workplace activities.Ability to travel within market and occasionally to regional or national meetings.Ability to manage budget effectively to support all training activities of the market.Ability to work with multiple supervisors and reporting relationships.Proficient computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel & advanced Power Point skills.Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of the organization.Mathematical Skills:General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and divisionReasoning AbilityAbility to think logically in following procedures and instructionsGeneral problem solving abilitiesEssential Responsibilities related to Physical Demands/Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
