Application Support EngineerJob DescriptionSAP Basis Engineers are responsible for providing technical support to client SAP basis systems. They are responsible for the technical aspects of enhancing, updating and deploying critical changes, designing new solutions, and creating procedures in the SAP area. They will report to the SAP Basis Manager.Job DutiesPerform project-based and production support responsibilities as needed to support apiphani managed client environments inclusive of SAP system migrations, SAP landscape refreshes, data protection including database backup & recovery, HA configurations and ongoing SAP system maintenance activities, e.g., SAP performance management, patching, problem management, etc.Work within and outside the SAP department to determine best practices for future landscapes;Build and maintain comprehensive documentation for problem resolution actions, root cause, procedures, etc.Drive continual improvement in systems operations through collaboration with both delivery and development teams.Actively engage in root cause analysis, in collaboration with software development and other delivery teams.Collaborate with team leaders and team members to review workflow processes and SOPs.Execute against defined project goals.Required SkillsBachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience3+ years of experience as an SAP Basis engineer in a service provider or advanced IT organization operating in a 24/7 environmentSolid background administering the SAP HANA databaseUnderstanding of SAP security principlesExperience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ansible preferredExperience with configuration management and automation toolsExperience with Sybase a plusExperience with SAP Business Objects a plusFamiliarity with agile engineering practices (Kanban, continuous delivery, etc.)Experience working in ITSM tools, ServiceNow preferredAWS and Azure service usage on commercial or government cloudDevelopment experience with a high-level language such as python or java a plusExperience with Sybase ASE a plusStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong ownership biasDeadline and detail-orientedThis position is fully remote.This position requires US Citizenship—work must be done within the borders of the US.Base Salary$110,000—$125,000 USDCompany Benefits*Medical/dental/vision - 100% paid for employees, 50% paid for dependentsLife and disability - 100% paid for employees401K - 3% contribution, no employee contribution necessary Education and tuition reimbursement - up to $50K annuallyEmployee Stock Options Plan Accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity benefits offered through our providersEmployee Assistance Program Legal assistancePaid Time Off - up to 6 weeks per year Sick Leave - up to 2 weeks per yearParental Leave - up to 12 weeks *Benefits listed in the job description apply to employees working in the United States.
