Job Title: Senior Accountant (from Argentina)

Location: Remote (Argentina-based)
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (New York business hours)

Engagement Type: Long-term, 40hrs per week, Independent Contractor (Remote)About the CompanyOur client is a fast-growing HVAC company serving residential and commercial clients across the United States. As they scale their operations, they are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant based in Argentina to support the CFO as a full-time Senior Accountant. This is a key role that will be responsible for full-cycle accounting and financial reporting in a dynamic, U.S.-based environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Accounting Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations Manage fixed asset schedules and monthly depreciation Handle month-end and year-end closings and reconciliations Prepare payroll-related journal entries (payroll is outsourced) Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP Analyze financial results and investigate budget-to-actual variances Ensure regulatory and tax compliance in collaboration with U.S. advisors Support audit preparation and provide documentation as needed System & Process OptimizationUtilize NetSuite to manage accounting functions and generate financial reports Improve and customize NetSuite processes, workflows, and reporting Recommend and implement best practices for accounting operations Contribute to the development of internal controls and accounting policies Collaboration Work closely with the CFO and liaise with U.S.-based operations and vendor teams Provide financial insights to support decision-making across departments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA or equivalent certification Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience Strong experience with NetSuite (minimum 2 years required) In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience supporting U.S. companies Experience in HVAC, construction, home services, or field service industries is a plus Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial analysis) Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach Must be able to work 100% in New York business hours (EST)Engagement Details Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (not an employee) Compensation: Competitive hourly/monthly rate (paid in USD) Remote work setup with long-term potential Direct reporting to U.S.-based CFO and leadership team Exposure to U.S. accounting practices and high-growth operations Originally posted on Himalayas
