Job Description

**Medical Services is hiring a Quality Outreach Specialist that will be remote in North Dakota.** As our Quality Outreach Specialist, you will strengthen access to primary care for Medicaid members by serving as a vital connector between members and providers across North Dakota Medicaid. You will play an important role in supporting long\-term health outcomes by encouraging member engagement through thoughtful, strategic outreach that aligns with North Dakota's Medicaid quality strategy. You will participate in regular team meetings, support targeted initiatives that move us toward the goal of becoming the healthiest state in the nation, and handle entry\-level data tasks that help drive informed decisions. You will bring a natural sense of motivation and drive to improve outcomes for targeted populations and help enhance the quality of services recipients receive. Your work will support activities that promote preventive care and ensure compliance with federal and state Medicaid quality requirements, including Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) services. To succeed in this position, you will bring an understanding of medical home concepts. You are able to communicate comfortably across many platforms with a wide variety of stakeholders and be able to self\-motivate in a remote environment. You will look at Medicaid as a whole rather than focusing on individual cases and bring a genuine desire to make a difference. You will manage rapid changes with ease and be comfortable pivoting from one task to another. Having prior knowledge of clinical processes and quality improvement will be beneficial for you. You will lift people up with a positive attitude and ambition to learn in an ever\-changing environment. **To be considered for this position you must have the following:** * a bachelor's degree in a related health and human services field (social work, population health, public health, nursing, etc.). * You are required to become Patient Centered Medical Home Content Expert certified within one year of employment if you are not already. **Location** This position is remote in North Dakota and must have the ability to travel as needed. **About HHS** ND HHS strives to make North Dakota the healthiest state in the nation by reinforcing the foundations of wellbeing: physical, economic, and behavioral.
