Marketing/Creative Translator with Spanish (Freelance)

For this role, you will be working as part of a dynamic team and in an international environment. Specific responsibilities include marketing and IT translations, linguistic review and QA, checking of terminology consistency through the management of TMs, glossaries and style guides to guarantee the quality of deliverables.Field of expertise: Marketing,IT, Documentation, Transcreation, Computer.This project is ongoing with a start date to be determined (approximately 1 week advanced notice will be given before the first start date).Location:RemoteSchedule:This work is based on project need. Hours can therefore vary and flexibility with a changing schedule is very important. There might befull days of work in a row several times per year.Project Duration:OngoingEmployment Type:Freelance RequirementsMain requirements:​Native in Spanish with a degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation or equivalent experienceIT skilled with knowledge and experience of SDL Studio and CAT toolsPreferred experience as a translator specialized in translation and proofreading of the required field (marketing and IT)Editorial and/or journalistic skills and up-to-date with language and terminology trendsExcellent written and spoken English to truly understand the meaning and translate as if it were originally written in target languageWell familiar with US American culture and pop culture in order to recognise the author's play on words or visual references and able to adequately localize into target languageObsessed by the detail, quality-driven and has a passion for languagesUnderstanding and attitude to work within a confidential environmentAble to work in a fast paced, demanding environment with multiple changes in project priorities and tight deadlinesAvailable to travel as the business callsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesGood availability, potentially at least 4 hours per day and quick response timesWe look forward to hearing from you!LocalEyes Vendor Management Team Originally posted on Himalayas
