This role owns day-to-day execution, optimization, and performance management across Google Ads and Microsoft/Bing Ads, ensuring campaigns align to approved media plans, enterprise search standards, and evolving channel best practices.Channel Managers operate as hands-on execution leaders and trusted client partners, translating strategy into precise in-platform activation. They work under the guidance of the Channel Director – Search, contribute to channel innovation and testing, and support the development of Channel Coordinators through coaching and oversight.What You’ll DoSearch Execution & Performance OwnershipExecute and optimize paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft/Bing Ads in alignment with approved media plans and channel strategyOwn in-platform setup, including account structure, bidding strategies, automation, audiences, and measurement alignmentMonitor performance against efficiency and effectiveness goals, adjusting investment and tactics based on data and directionEnsure search activation adheres to enterprise standards, platform policies, and brand safety requirementsSupport adoption of new search features, betas, and automation workflows as directed by channel leadershipLead complex and HVC search campaigns, acting as a the search extension for client teamsClient & Strategy PartnershipPartner with Client Strategy to ensure search activation mirrors agreed-upon plans and objectivesTranslate performance data into clear insights, implications, and optimization recommendationsParticipate in client conversations as an execution authority, supporting performance reviews and planning discussionsSurface risks, opportunities, and platform changes proactivelyLead client paid search conversations, serving as the primary subject matter expert and strategic authority on social platforms, activation, and performanceChannel Collaboration & Capability BuildingSupport Channel Coordinators through task guidance, QA, and skill developmentResponsible for mentoring and supporting assigned channel managers and coordinators in their channel growthContribute to documentation, testing efforts, and evolving activation standards within the search disciplineCollaborate with Analytics to ensure measurement frameworks support optimization and learningEscalate complex issues, audits, or platform challenges appropriatelyChampion knowledge sharing across the paid search team, proactively distributing platform updates, best practices, test learnings, and performance insights to drive collective expertise and consistencyQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business administration, or a related field is preferred5+ years of experience in paid search or performance media activationProficiency across search platforms including Google Ads and Microsoft/Bing Ads, with hands-on experience in campaign setup, optimization, and automationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to optimization and performance managementProven ability to translate media strategy into precise in-platform executionExperience managing client relationships in a client-facing role, including presenting performance insights and recommendationsDemonstrated ability to mentor or support junior team members through guidance, QA, and feedbackCheck us out at www.goodwaygroup.com to learn more!If you identify as a female candidate, and feel you can do this role even if there are a few things perhaps you've not done, please apply anyway!
