Come join our mission of getting therapy in the hands of everyone!We are looking for a results-driven Provider Directory Optimization Specialist to improve how providers are surfaced, ranked, and selected across payer directories, third-party marketplaces, and internal search experiences. This role is focused on maximizing provider visibility and match quality by optimizing the data elements that directly influence directory ranking, filtering, and patient decision-making. You’ll work across systems to ensure provider profiles are accurate, competitive, and positioned to perform well in real-world search environments.This is a remote position based on Eastern Time. Talkspace Headquarters is located in NYC.What You’ll DoDirectory Optimization & Provider Visibility Analyze how providers appear across payer directories and third-party platforms (e.g., insurance directories, marketplaces)Optimize provider profiles to improve ranking and discoverability based on key filters like insurance, specialty, and locationEnsure critical fields- such as specialty, taxonomy, availability, panel status, telehealth, and languages- are complete and optimizedIdentify and resolve gaps that may negatively impact provider visibility or search performanceRanking & Search PerformanceEvaluate factors that influence provider ranking (e.g., data completeness, recency, engagement signals)Partner with internal teams to prioritize updates that improve relevance and positioning in search resultsSupport testing and iteration of changes to improve match quality and patient conversionMonitor performance trends and adjust optimization strategies accordinglyProvider Data Quality & IntegrityAudit provider data across systems including NPI, CAQH, payer feeds, and internal databasesImprove data accuracy, consistency, and standardization across platformsCollaborate with Credentialing, Provider Operations, and Engineering to resolve discrepancies and streamline updatesSupport ongoing improvements to provider data workflows and governanceInsights & Continuous ImprovementTrack and report on key metrics such as provider visibility, search ranking, profile completeness, and conversionBuild dashboards or reports to monitor directory performance and optimization impactIdentify trends and recommend actionable improvements to enhance provider discoverabilityStay current on best practices across payer and marketplace directoriesAbout You2+ years of experience in provider data, healthcare operations, directory management, or analyticsStrong understanding of how provider directories function (payer or third-party)Experience working with structured data (Excel, SQL, or similar tools)Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and completenessAnalytical thinker who can connect data insights to practical improvementsStrong cross-functional communication skillsBonus PointsHands-on experience optimizing provider profiles in platforms like Psychology Today, Zocdoc, Headway, Alma, or payer directoriesFamiliarity with NPI, CAQH, taxonomy codes, and provider data structuresExposure to search ranking, filtering logic, or marketplace dynamicsUnderstanding of healthcare data exchange concepts (e.g., FHIR)What Success Looks LikeProviders consistently appear in top search results for relevant queriesIncreased provider profile completeness and accuracy across all key attributesImproved match rates between patients and providersMeasurable lift in engagement and conversion from directory trafficScalable processes for maintaining high-performing provider profilesBenefits Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision plans coverage since day onePre-tax benefits: HSA/ FSA401k Retirement Savings Program with matching up to 4%Voluntary benefits including disability, basic life or pet insurance, etc.Monthly Wellness Stipend to promote mental and physical self-careFlexible PTO and Remote First EnvironmentRegular team events, including Wellness Workshops and Team Building EventsFree access to Talkspace products for you and one household member, as well as access to a friends and family discount! CompensationAt Talkspace, we believe that pay transparency during the interview process is a critical part of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our salary bands are based on internal and external compensation benchmarks, which we regularly evaluate to ensure we pay competitively.The base salary range for this role is between $80,000 - $95,000.
