We’d love to talk.Who you are: As a Senior QA Engineer at Hometap, you'll play a central role in ensuring the quality of the software that powers our mission — from the homeowner-facing platform to investor tools and internal operations systems. Reporting to the QA Manager, you'll contribute to our quality strategy, help grow our automation capabilities, and have meaningful influence over how we build and release software as we scale nationwide. What you’ll do:QA and regression-test software for Hometap’s homeowner platform, investor tools, and internal systemsDrive user acceptance testing (UAT) programs with internal stakeholders and end usersHelp to architect, build, and continuously extend our automated regression testing suite; mentor engineers on the automation framework and best practicesDesign solutions to automate testing of third-party integrationsCollaborate closely with DevOps to create and maintain AWS sandbox environments for testing and build robust continuous testing pipelines, utilizing tools such as Docker and AWS Suggest and evaluate new technologies and tools to assist the QA Team and the overall Technical Product OrganizationPartner with the Product team; carry in-depth knowledge of Hometap software, and acceptance-test new features while covering them with automationBe a key stakeholder in release readiness validation; be empowered to prevent immature software from premature releaseWhat you’ll bring:5+ years of professional experience in web application testingStrong command of QA processes, testing methodologies, and best practices, with a track record of championing quality standards across all phases of product development2+ years of hands-on experience with web QA automation tools and frameworksExperience conducting code reviews of test automation code and mentoring others on best practices, code standards, and maintainabilityProficiency in JavaScript for writing automated tests, with the adaptability to pick up additional languages as neededExperience implementing continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with DevOpsExperience with API testing and UI/UX testingAbility to partner with product managers to translate feature requirements into comprehensive test plans, thinking from the perspective of multiple stakeholdersMeaningful experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code)Strong exploratory testing skills and a high-quality barBonus points: Experience with Cypress or PlayWrightExperience with Python/Python-based frameworks such as DjangoAWS ecosystem expertiseExperience with security testingThe salary range for this role is $130,000 - $140,000, depending on your experience, skills, location, and other factors.
