Job Title: Application ConsultantRole PurposeThe Application Consultant supports the implementation, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise banking applications. This role acts as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring application solutions align with business objectives, regulatory standards, and user needs.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and document business and functional requirements, translating them into scalable and efficient application solutionsConfigure, customize, and enhance enterprise banking applications to support operational efficiency and digital transformation initiativesAct as a liaison between business users, vendors, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure clear communication and successful deliverySupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, coordinating testing activities, and resolving defects and system issuesProvide production support, including issue investigation, root cause analysis, and coordination of fixes to minimize business disruptionContribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize application performance, usability, and reliabilityAssist with application documentation, release planning, and change management activitiesRequired Experience & SkillsMinimum 5 years experience in application consulting, application support, or systems implementation rolesProven experience within banking or financial services, including exposure to core banking or digital banking platformsStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly languageExperience supporting UAT, production environments, and post-implementation supportStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to work effectively in cross-functional and fast-paced environmentsNice to HaveExperience with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologiesFamiliarity with regulatory, compliance, or security requirements in financial services environmentsExposure to vendor-managed or third-party banking applicationsOriginally posted on Himalayas
