Planning Process Lead - Routings and Structures

We are seeking an experienced and diligent Planning Process Lead to join our organisation. In this key role, you will manage our routings and BOM's planning processes. You will focus on operational excellence and ongoing improvements across our supply chain and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will show strong leadership skills, analytical thinking, and a dedication to optimising our planning frameworks to improve efficiency and support business goals.Lead the development, implementation, and continuous optimisation of routing and BOM planning processes across the organisation to achieve outstanding results!Manage cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between planning, manufacturing, and supply chain functionsAnalyse current planning methodologies and find opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gainsBuild and maintain routing structures that support production scheduling, capacity planning, and cost optimisationCoordinate the configuration and maintenance of routing data within enterprise systems, ensuring accuracy and consistencyDevelop and deliver training programmes to ensure collaborators understand and effectively utilise planning processesMonitor important metrics related to planning accuracy, lead times, and resource utilisationCollaborate with collaborators to gather requirements and translate them into process improvementsConduct root cause analysis on planning issues and implement corrective actionsPrepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management on process performance and recommendationsLead change management efforts to facilitate the adoption of new planning methodologies and systemsEnsure compliance with organisational standards and guidelines in planning operationsSkills and Experience:Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations planning or equivalentProven expertise in routing and structure build, optimisation, and management within IFS & or SAPStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex dataProficiency in process modelling and documentation techniquesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and pivot tablesProven project coordination skills capable of handling several initiatives concurrentlyDemonstrated people skills and ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teamsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalOrganised approach to work with meticulous attention to detailDesired Skills and Experience:Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platformsKnowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologiesBackground in change management and process transformation initiativesExperience with supply chain planning tools and advanced scheduling softwareFamiliarity with manufacturing or process engineering principlesCertification in project management or process improvement fieldsABOUT LGC:LGC is a leading, global life science tools company, providing mission-critical components and solutions into high-growth application areas across the human healthcare and applied market segments.
