Data Analyst

We're looking for a Data Analyst to support data reporting and analytics work on a VA program. You'll own Power BI reporting, work across complex data environments, and help drive the team's AI-forward data strategy.What You’ll Be DoingBuilding and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports connected to multiple data sourcesWriting and optimizing queries in SQL (DML) within Databricks or Microsoft Synapse environmentsDeveloping and maintaining Python scripts and pipelines within Databricks or SynapseAuthoring DAX measures and calculations to support reporting logicDesigning and interpreting data models using Entity Relationship Diagrams and normalization principlesSupporting AI/ML data initiatives aligned with VA's evolving data strategyWhat you’ll bring:2–5 years of Python development experience in Databricks or Microsoft Synapse5+ years of SQL (DML) experience in Databricks or Microsoft Synapse2–5 years building Power BI reports and dashboards across varied data sourcesWorking knowledge of Power BI DAX and data modeling best practicesFamiliarity with ER diagrams and Codd's normalization rulesVA or federal agency experience is a plusComfortable working remotely and communicating across distributed teamsPerforms other related duties as assignedRequirements:Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
