Part-Time Bookkeeper & Accountant

We're looking for a detail\-oriented, tech\-savvy bookkeeper/accountant to help keep our financial operations running smoothly. **About the Role** We're seeking a part\-time Bookkeeper \& Accountant who is comfortable working independently, moves fluidly between financial systems, and has strong hands\-on experience with **QuickBooks Desktop**. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys clean books, tight processes, and using technology to make accounting more efficient. **Responsibilities** * Maintain day\-to\-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Desktop (AP/AR, invoicing, expense coding) * Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor/appraiser fee accounts monthly * Process appraiser payments and track outstanding fees * Prepare monthly financial reports and summaries for leadership * Assist with payroll support and coordination with our CPA at tax time * Maintain organized, audit\-ready financial records * Identify opportunities to streamline or automate recurring bookkeeping tasks * Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests **Qualifications** * 2\+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience * **Strong, hands\-on proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop** (required) * Comfortable learning and adopting new software/tools quickly — genuinely tech\-savvy, not just familiar with the basics * Solid understanding of general accounting principles (reconciliations, accruals, month\-end close) * High attention to detail and strong organizational skills * Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision * Experience in real estate, appraisal, mortgage, or financial services industries a plus * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (not required with sufficient experience) **Details** * **Schedule:** Part\-time, approximately 20 hours/week, flexible within business hours * **Location:** Austin, TX area preferred; hybrid or remote considered for the right candidate * **Compensation:** Based on experience Pay: From $18\.00 per hour Experience: * QuickBooks Desktop: 2 years (Preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Austin, TX 78759
