Adjunct – Advanced Health Assessment for Nurse Educators – Online (Remote) – College of Nursing and Health Care ProfessionsAre you passionate about shaping future health care leaders and helping students discover their purpose? The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at GCU is seeking knowledgeable, mission-driven Adjunct Faculty to teach Advanced Health Assessment for Nurse Educators online.This course builds upon students’ previous health assessment knowledge offering advanced health assessment content to provide the foundation for the advanced professional nursing role of the nurse educator. This course emphasizes knowledge of health assessment, including physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health assessment; risk assessment; and functional assessment in diverse populations in the promotion of health and prevention of disease. This course incorporates the completion and interpretation of a head-to-toe assessment along with emphasis on effective documentation and health recordkeeping.What You Will DoDeliver engaging, high-quality instruction using innovative teaching methods and current industry technologiesMaintain compliance with accreditation standardsModel the holistic tenets of the nursing profession and uphold the University’s mission and pillarsFacilitate meaningful classroom discussions, assess student learning, and prepare students for leadership roles in health careSupport program initiatives and demonstrate alignment with the philosophy and direction of the UniversityProvide a positive example by supporting GCU’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and MissionWhat You Will BringPreferred: Doctorate in Nursing.Required: Master’s Degree in Nursing or a DO, MD, or Master's prepared Physicians' Assistant.
