**Bookkeeper — US S\-Corp / QuickBooks Online (Remote, Contract)** **Engagement type:** Independent contractor, remote **Schedule:** One\-time cleanup project, then ongoing monthly **Time zone:** Must overlap US Eastern business hours (Latin America strongly preferred) **Range: $18 \- $25/hour USD** **About the role** A US\-based performance marketing / lead generation business is looking for a detail\-obsessed bookkeeper to clean up and then maintain our books in QuickBooks Online. We're a recently\-elected S\-corp running paid traffic across multiple ad platforms, so transaction volume is high and accuracy matters. This starts with a defined six\-month cleanup project and, for the right person, becomes an ongoing monthly engagement. **Phase 1 — Cleanup project (first engagement)** * Reconcile the last 6 months across all bank and credit card accounts against statements * Correct our S\-corp structure in QBO: owner salary, distributions, contributions, and retained earnings recorded properly in equity (not as expenses) * Journal in payroll (Gusto) accurately for the cleanup period * Separate any commingled personal transactions from before business/personal accounts were split * Rebuild the chart of accounts to fit a digital marketing business (ad spend by platform, software/tools, contractor costs) * Deliver corrected monthly P\&Ls and a balance sheet for the period **Phase 2 — Ongoing monthly** * Categorize and reconcile all accounts monthly * Record owner salary and distributions; reconcile Gusto payroll into QBO * Accounts receivable: invoice direct partners and follow up on outstanding payments (some partners pay on net\-30/60 terms) * Produce a monthly P\&L, balance sheet, and a simple financial dashboard * Hold a brief monthly review call to walk through the numbers * Keep books CPA\-ready for our annual 1120\-S; prepare year\-end 1099s for any US contractors **Must\-have qualifications** * 2\+ years bookkeeping for US businesses, including US S\-corps * Expert in QuickBooks Online (US version) * Proven ability to correctly handle S\-corp owner salary vs. distributions and equity accounts * Catch\-up / cleanup experience reconciling behind or messy books * Comfortable with high transaction volume (daily ad spend across multiple platforms) * Strong written and spoken English * Reliable, responsive, and able to provide references from US\-based clients **Nice to have** * Familiarity with Gusto payroll * Experience building simple financial dashboards / reporting **How to apply** Please answer the questions below along with your resume Link To Questions: https://tally.so/r/obgDqe Pay: $18\.00 \- $25\.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
