You’ll play a critical role in driving deal success by leading technical discovery, delivering compelling product demonstrations, and guiding solution design throughout the sales cycle.This role sits at the intersection of sales, product, and engineering—requiring strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.What you’ll do:Own the Technical Side of the Sales ProcessPartner closely with Account Executives to support opportunities from early discovery through closeLead technical discovery conversations to understand customer goals, constraints, and success criteriaConduct live product demonstrations and tailored technical presentations to showcase Spokeo’s offeringsAct as the primary technical point of contact for prospects during the evaluation processDeliver High-Impact Product ExperiencesDesign and deliver tailored product demonstrations aligned to customer use cases and business outcomesClearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executivesAddress security, architecture, and integration questions with confidence and clarityDesign & Validate SolutionsRecommend and design solutions that meet customer requirements while aligning with product capabilitiesSupport or lead proofs-of-concept (POC) to validate technical fit and demonstrate valueContribute to technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnairesBe a Force Multiplier for SalesProvide technical guidance that accelerates deal velocity and improves win ratesEnable sales teams with product knowledge, use cases, and competitive positioningShare field feedback with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap and improvementsWhat Success Looks LikeYou’re viewed as a trusted advisor by customers and sales partnersYou help unblock complex technical evaluations and shorten sales cyclesYou consistently elevate the quality of demos, solution design, and technical credibilityYou balance customer needs with scalable, repeatable solutionWhat you’ve done:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experienceAt least 5 years in a Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or similar customer-facing technical roleExperience supporting SaaS, enterprise software, or complex technical productsProven ability to work on deals involving both technical and business stakeholdersStrong understanding of modern software platforms (cloud, APIs, integrations, security, or data—depending on product)Ability to translate technical capabilities into customer valueComfortable presenting, whiteboarding, and leading discussions with diverse audiencesSolid grasp of the sales process and how technical decisions influence buying outcomesNice to have:Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or enterprise systemsExperience with API productsFamiliarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpotWorking at SpokeoOur mission is to advance transparency, and to achieve that goal, we rally around six core values: listening with empathy, understanding the why, clarifying with data, innovating to learn, collaborating to achieve, and insisting on quality.As a remote-first company, we are able to hire team members residing in the following US states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, KY, MD, MI, MO, NH, NJ, NV, NC, PA, SC, SD, TX, VA, WA or WY.In addition to a highly competitive base salary, our generous benefits include:401K100% medical/dental/vision coverageunlimited PTOmental health resourcespaid home office equipmentfitness reimbursementssupport paying for coursesand moreWe extend written offers to candidates who successfully complete their selection process.
