The Director of Employee Relations serves as a senior-level People Manager and a key member of the GC&E leadership team, helping shape and guide TNC’s global culture strategy through innovative, human-centered approaches that promote resilient workplace relationships and a positive, inclusive employee experience.This position functions as a strategic leader at the heart of how the organization supports its people, addressing complex relationship challenges, building organizational capacity, and fostering environments where employees can thrive. Through thoughtful leadership and partnership across the organization, this role advances an employee experience aligned with TNC’s mission and values, strengthening both the organization’s culture and its overall impact.We’re Looking for You:Serving as a critical link between Legal, Ethics & Compliance and Human Resource functions, the Director of Employee Relations will promote an equitable workplace of inclusion and well-being. They will be a resource for employees and will lead efforts to foster positive employee relations across TNC globally. In partnership with key leaders and stakeholder groups, including the Executive Leadership Team, they will develop and implement near and long-term strategies, interventions, and initiatives to promote an environment that drives performance, accountability, and overall engagement.This position may be based in any country where TNC has an established entity, with a location preference of USA, Africa, or Latin America.Ability to travel up to 40%, both within the United States and internationally. This position is expected to work in all global time zones to conduct ER interviews.What You’ll Bring:Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years related experience as a leader in Human Resources.Professional experience must encompass a generalist role to include some or all of the following: employment, compensation, benefits, payroll, employee relations, training and development, organizational development and recruiting.Experience in strategic planning for a decentralized, geographically dispersed and multicultural international organization.Experience working with international programs in the HR arena.Supervisory skills. Experience as a manager and leader of staff in a people function, including ability to motivate, set objectives and lead.Experienced trainer and facilitator.Experience with leading projects and coordinating the work of others.Experience using MS Office software with experience in constructing and producing reports, data manipulation, and analysis.Certification or advanced training in a coaching, mediation, or conflict resolution discipline.Desired Qualifications:Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.SPHR certification.Understanding of federal and state level legal compliance requirements related to engagement and culture.Experience in Case Management Systems to include system implementation.Proven ability to work in a fast paced, stressful and highly visible environment.Experience in strategic thinking and planning.Excellent interpersonal skills and strong client service orientation.Passionate about serving others and the demonstrated ability to naturally engage and connect with others.Experience and proficiency developing and supporting relationship building across differences of power and privilege in an organizational setting, to include delivering workplace culture training and interventions to teams and leaders at all levels.This description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities required for this job.Salary Information:This position may be based in any country where TNC has an established entity, taking into consideration legal restrictions, such as non-national ratios and immigration processing times. For U.S. based applicants only, the starting pay range for this position is generally within the range of $114,000 - $154,000 for annual base salary and is based on location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. For all other applicants, pay ranges will be in local currency, the pay range will be based on the local labor market, and not tied to the above pay range. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment and used to determine your actual pay range.
