**Fractional Property Management Accounting Consultant (Remote)** M \& J Landry Empire Inc. is seeking an experienced Fractional Property Management Accounting Consultant to assist with monthly accounting oversight and financial review for a growing multifamily real estate portfolio. This is a fully remote, part\-time consulting role estimated at approximately 8–10 hours per month. We are specifically looking for someone with strong experience in both AppFolio Property Manager and QuickBooks Online, along with a deep understanding of real estate accounting and property\-level financial analysis. The ideal candidate is not simply a data\-entry bookkeeper, but someone who understands how to analyze real estate financials, identify inconsistencies, and recognize accounting issues that may impact property performance, cash flow, loan reporting, or operational decision\-making. **Responsibilities** * Review monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for accuracy * Review property\-level Profit \& Loss statements and identify unusual activity, coding errors, or accounting discrepancies * Review balance sheet accounts and identify items requiring cleanup, correction, or reclassification * Assist with month\-end close procedures * Help with more complex journal entries, including refinance and cash\-out refinance transactions * Review owner contribution/distribution and intercompany accounting entries when needed * Assist with identifying accounting inconsistencies between AppFolio and QuickBooks * Analyze property financials and provide feedback on items that appear operationally or financially unusual * Provide recommendations for improving accounting accuracy, reporting, and internal processes * Serve as an accounting and financial review resource for ownership on an as\-needed basis **Requirements** * Strong experience with AppFolio Property Manager (Required) * Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (Required) * Strong real estate and/or property management accounting experience (Required) * Ability to analyze and interpret real estate financial statements, including balance sheets and property\-level P\&Ls * Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, and month\-end close procedures * Experience working with multifamily real estate portfolios * Ability to identify accounting irregularities and financial trends * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills * Ability to work independently and communicate clearly **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with affordable housing or Section 8 accounting * Experience with multiple LLC/entity accounting * Controller, senior bookkeeper, or property management accounting background * Experience with refinance accounting and real estate transactions * CPA or advanced accounting designation is a plus but not required **Position Details** * Fully Remote * Estimated 8–10 Hours Per Month * Flexible Schedule * Hourly Consulting Position **To Apply: Please submit:** * Resume * Brie
