**Summary:** This fully remote position within Blood Cancer United’s Information Resource Center (IRC) offers an excellent work\-life balance for a skilled oncology professional.
* Monday–Friday schedule only; no weekends, no on\-call responsibilities, all holidays off, and a 7\-hour workday.
* Required availability: 12:00–4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
* Flexible scheduling: The remaining 3 hours may be completed at your discretion each day, based on assigned work and other professional commitments.
You will work alongside a highly trained team of oncology social workers and nurses located throughout the United States. The organization’s area of expertise focuses exclusively on blood cancers.
Through our custom\-designed phone and chat platform, the Blood Cancer United website, and other emerging technologies, this position will:
* Provide personalized blood cancer education, patient advocacy, and psychosocial support to blood cancer patients and their families.
* Serve a diverse population of pediatric and adult blood cancer patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals from diagnosis through survivorship.
* Empower and equip patients and caregivers to communicate effectively with their healthcare teams.
* Promote patient self\-advocacy across a range of needs and circumstances.
* Provide clinical trial education and awareness and refer patients to the Blood Cancer United Clinical Trial Support Center (CTSC) when appropriate.
* Identify and help reduce barriers to blood cancer care while supporting improved quality of life for patients and their families.
* Stay current on blood cancer research by reviewing peer\-reviewed literature and materials from professional organizations, and by attending professional symposia, conferences, and webcasts both within Blood Cancer United and through external organizations.
* Represent the IRC and Blood Cancer United at professional meetings, conferences, advisory boards, partnership initiatives, and other events as requested, both virtually and in person.
* Collaborate on abstract submissions to professional organizations for presentation opportunities, as requested.
* Perform other related duties as assigned. \\If bilingual, provide services and support in both Spanish and English, represent the IRC, and collaborate with other Blood Cancer United departments on Spanish\-language outreach initiatives and projects.
