Job Description
We are a small MSP that focuses on high end residential networks and IT for small businesses. We are looking for someone who is eager to be in the IT field and wants to expand their knowledge and troubleshooting skills. This individual will help us tackle level 1 support tickets, monitor our sites, and write/update documentation.
This job is remote. You just need to be available to answer calls and work at a desk. You will be provided with a desk phone and a work computer.
We prefer candidates in the Los Angeles area because the job role will expand to full time and *potentially* hybrid work.
**Expected Technical Skills (it's ok if you don't know these all, you're here to learn and grow):**
* Google\-Fu, we will watch how you search for answers on the internet
* Reset passwords for AD or AAD (Microsoft 365\)
* Setup printers and other peripherals
* Understand Remote VPNs
* Application and Software updates
* File Shares vs OneDrive
* Basic Networking: IP Address, Gateways/Subnets, WiFi Channels, Port Forwarding
There will be a weekly meeting to go over any outstanding tickets or questions.
**Expected Personal Skills:**
* Must be able to answer phone calls and emails professionally
* Put proper details in tickets for review before they get closed out by management.
* Answer calls (sometimes Facetime/Whatsapp), need to be in proper attire and groomed
* Be patient and understanding of client frustrations. Professional customer service is expected.
* Be proactive. There is always something to do. If there are no tickets, there is documentation. If it's not documentation, there is always studying and expanding your skillset :).
**Desired Technical Skills (not required):**
* Use of a ticketing system like Connectwise, FreshDesk, Halo, etc
* Networking or WiFi knowledge
* Scripting or APIs

Job Type: Part\-time
Pay: $23\.00 per hour
