I further attest that all information I submit in my employment application is true to the best of my knowledge.Job DescriptionABOUT THE ROLE:The Pricing Strategy & Planning, Senior Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that balance profitability and market competitiveness. This role supports Takeda's mission by ensuring that pricing decisions are data-driven and aligned with business goals.OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE:Provide technical and analytical support for contracts including:Drafting and editing contract documentsNegotiating terms and conditions with external customersManaging contract complianceDraft business exceptions from initial request through approval and to resulting contract amendment or notificationResolving internal/external customer issues and concernsManage all contract administration for assigned contracts including:Documenting portfolio requirements for accurate establishment of the contract terms or managing pricing system maintenance/set up and price changesEnsuring all product and price notifications are communicated on a timely basisPartner with finance, credit and collections and customer service to resolve pricing issuesCreate ad hoc analysis for field sales teams for customer purchase pattern history to review contract complianceWorks cross functionally with Market Access, Legal, and Finance to ensure business alignment of opportunities and risks of to drive profitable growth. Act as subject matter expert and provide cross-functional training on contract operations and contract language interpretationInterprets and translates business case requirements into contract language, predicts potential customer concerns, negotiates contract language with external customers and translates such information to ensure accurate contract and pricing establishment and rebate calculationsEnsures that business cases, contract documents and business exceptions are properly catalogued and stored to ensure secure archiving and seamless support in preparation of auditsSupports internal/external audits by preparing and providing the necessary documentationAssists with the contract implementation of modified strategies, new product launch activities and special projectsIdentifies, recommends and implements opportunities for process efficiencies to drive increased efficienciesSKILLS / QUALIFICATIONSTechnical/Functional ExpertiseUnderstanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the Commercial Payor, Medicare Part D and/or Trade Account market space. Experience in multiple aspects of the Market Access, Patient Services and LegalKnowledge of current pricing and rebating practices and ability to implement these practicesFinancial/business analytical support to pricing and legal initiative that enforce contract complianceLeadershipEffectively interact with staff and management from all functional areas as well as with key customers across Managed Markets, Finance, Legal and Audit.Effectively communicate ideas and data in both verbal and written formResponsible to ensure that quality, productivity, and timeliness of deliverables meet organizational and customer expectations.
