Onboarding Engineer (MSP Experience)- Primarily Remote with Monthly Travel

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Onboarding Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for leading the successful onboarding of new clients into our managed services environment.RequirementsLead end-to-end onboarding projects for new clients, ensuring timely and successful transitions into managed servicesAssess client environments, including infrastructure, networks, and cloud systems, to identify risks, gaps, and optimization opportunitiesDesign and implement Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)Deploy and manage Microsoft Azure resources including virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity servicesMigrate users, data, and workloads to Microsoft 365 and/or Azure platformsConfigure and support Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), including identity synchronization, conditional access, and security policiesEvaluate and implement network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and wireless solutionsDocument onboarding processes, client environments, and configurations thoroughlyCollaborate with internal teams (Service Desk, NOC, Security) to ensure seamless handoff post-onboardingProvide technical guidance and best practices to clients during onboarding engagementsIdentify opportunities for service improvement, standardization, and automationOriginally posted on Himalayas
