ESI - Counselor

We offer fully insured and self\-funded group coverage, including stop loss, as well as Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and individual plans. **Job Summary:** Provides telephonic/virtual, and /or face to face counseling, coaching, resource coordination, and case management for Employee Assistance Program members who call for immediate support. Manages consultations with human resources managers, referrals, documentation, and research. **Responsibilities:** * Conducts telephonic triage and assessment, providing in the moment support to members on issues, including but not limited to behavioral health, substance abuse, relationship, and work\-life, and coordinates resources. * Coordinates and completes case management of intakes. * Makes clinical determinations in adherence with Company risk policy and in the member and Company’s best interest. * Provides referrals to service provider network and/or other resources as appropriate for financial concerns, legal concerns, personal assistant, and work\-life requests. * As assigned, provides face to face and telehealth intake assessments triage, coaching, brief solution\-focused counseling to members on issues, including but not limited to behavioral health, substance abuse, relationship, and work\-life issues. * Assists co\-workers/afterhours vendor with case completion and follow up. * Consults with service providers to make referrals and complete session authorizations. Follows cases to completion. * Utilizes computer\-based case management system to complete professional documentation. * Consults with Human Resources and supervisory personnel from client companies regarding employee issues and concerns. * Maintains industry knowledge, ethical code, and licensure requirements in the state of licensure. * Performs other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** **Education and Experience:** * Master’s degree in behavioral health field (social work, psychology, counseling, or related field). * 5 years of experience as an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counselor or equivalent behavioral health clinical experience. **Professional Certification(s):** * Licensed Mental Health Clinician, Certified HR Professional, or Certified EAP Counselor preferred (or other industry recognized licenses: psychology, social work, etc.) * Active, current, and unrestricted license in the state employed may be required for face\-to\-face counseling. **Technical Skills and Knowledge:** * Assessment, triage, in the moment support, research and case
