Our Founders were the CFO and GC of the unicorn business, Mediatonic, which sold to Epic Games (creator of Fortnite) in 2021.Focus on pragmatic value-adding advicePlaying a key part in growing the Finance offering of the teamYour ResponsibilitiesPerform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, payment cards, receipts, and employee expenses for client companies.Maintain cloud-based accounting systems (e.g. Xero) and integrate with client tools like automated invoice processing software.Manage the end-to-end AP process, including invoice processing, supplier queries, and preparation of weekly/monthly payment runs for review by the Finance Manager and clients.Support the AR process, including raising invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, and assisting with credit control where required.Responsibility for elements of the month-end processes and reconciliations, and assisting the Finance Manager with the more complex areasProvide support with payroll preparation and processing, ensuring required data is captured and submitted accurately and on time.Implement efficient bookkeeping processes from start to finish to ensure everything is optimized and no time is wasted.Ensure adherence to controls and processes is maintained, and highlight any areas for improvement (along with recommendations) to the Finance Manager.Assist with producing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, supporting the Finance Manager with variance analysis and commentary, helping clients understand performance and make informed decisions.Ensure clients meet all statutory filing deadlines, including those for Companies House, HMRC (VAT, PAYE, ERS), and pension contributions/declarationsWork closely with the other members of the team to offer a joined-up serviceContribute to the development of internal templates, processes, and best practices for scalable client delivery.Your BackgroundExperienced bookkeeper/accountant (3+ years experience)Previous experience working with a UK company (desired but not necessary)Relevant degree / post-graduate accounting qualificationExperience with Xero accounting softwareWants to contribute to building a truly exceptional, client-focused accounting functionSolid experience in transactional accounting.
