Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVESupport community-based organizations (CBOs) that serve the Sickle Cell community by identifying gaps in education, access to care, and patient engagement, and by connecting CBOs to resources that may be limited for patient-run organizations.Serve as a field-based, non-sales, non-promotional, community-facing point of contact for Sickle Cell CBOs (local, regional, and national advocacy groups) and for individual patients and caregivers and connect constituents to Pfizer programs and support offerings.Provide education, resources, hub information, sponsorship support, and other assistance to patients, caregivers, executive directors, and advocacy chapter staff.Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and Marketing to ensure all activities meet Pfizer’s high standards of ethical conduct.Report to the U.S. Rare Disease National Patient Affairs Liaison Senior Director.HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE ITFocus on three areas: customer engagement, CBO account management, and cross-functional collaboration to meet the needs of the Sickle Cell community.Assess gaps and challenges faced by CBOs and convene internal matrix partners to support solutions for people living with SCD.Identify key stakeholders, CBO capabilities, and local-market needs related to capacity building across the SCD community.Build trusting, transparent partnerships with leaders in the Sickle Cell community to support advocacy aligned to education, patient empowerment, and access to care.Monitor key local, regional, and national healthcare issues and best practices affecting the Sickle Cell landscape.Amplify the work of national and regional CBOs by connecting them with Pfizer subject-matter experts (e.g., Medical, Corporate Affairs, ADMs) and sharing learnings with the broader community.Synthesize stakeholder insights to develop mutually beneficial action plans for Pfizer and the Sickle Cell community.Deliver overviews of patient support resources and programs to patients, caregivers, and CBOs at Pfizer-sponsored local, regional, and national events (e.g., in-person/virtual exhibits).Identify opportunities to educate on the importance of treating SCD and optimizing therapy.Establish collaborative partnerships to broaden reach across the SCD community in disease education, access to care, and empowerment.Manage budgets to prioritize commitments aligned to Pfizer goals and assigned CBO needs, and to maximize strategic collaborations that support brand strategy.Partner with RD Managers to align integrated patient offerings to intended objectives and local market dynamics.Prioritize Pfizer support for key CBOs to maximize impact for people living with SCD.Identify and scale best practices across the region and nationally.Serve as a local expert on the evolving healthcare landscape, including health system market dynamics and their impact on SCD.Provide local insights to inform the RD Brand Team’s development of educational materials and patient support resources that address community needs.Ensure patient and advocacy engagement complies with Pfizer standards of conduct and all applicable legal and compliance requirements.Manage the annual budget to prioritize commitments and support assigned regional CBO needs.Conduct needs assessments with CBOs to define primary focus areas and align with Pfizer business goals and objectives.Communicate insights on the evolving Rare Disease competitive landscape to appropriate cross-functional colleagues, effectively and compliantly.Coordinate travel and order required materials for local, regional, and national events.Maintain administrative trackers and systems (e.g., Concur expense reports, budget/activity trackers, Centris program initiation/closure, PAL team calendar).Stay current on government and policy dynamics affecting Rare Disease communities at local, regional, and national levels.QUALIFICATIONSMust-HaveApplicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 6+ years ofexperience.Pharmaceutical industry experience or related experience (preferably in Rare Disease).Demonstrate exceptional communication, active listening, and presentation skills.Work effectively in a highly regulated environment and follow company compliance guidelines and procedures.Collaborate effectively with a diverse range of customers, clients, and stakeholders.Model responsible business practices and communicate with compassion (written and verbal).Nice-to-HaveMaster's degree with at least 5+ years of experience; OR a PhD with 1+ years of experience.Candidates will demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.Deliver meaningful, concise presentations with integrity and empathy.Build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders (patients, exe
