All of our roles are 100% remote, so you'll be able to work from home.Who The Client Is: Our client is a design and manufacturing business specializing in custom joinery and interior fit-outs. Their work consists of approximately 60% residential projects (medium to high-end) and 40% commercial projects. They work closely with clients from concept through installation, creating tailored cabinetry, storage solutions, and bespoke interiors that combine functionality, craftsmanship, and modern design.Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in kitchen and joinery projects, including curved designs, custom details, and other non-standard work. This role primarily focuses on residential projects, commercial and shopfitting work. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing the estimating process.Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate cost estimates for kitchen and joinery projects, including complex and custom buildsManage and respond to tenders from review through submissionInterpret drawings, specifications, and project requirements to produce detailed estimatesCommunicate with clients through professional emails and calls when requiredMaintain organized records and integrate the costing structure into the internal systemTake clear notes and ensure project information is accurately documentedTake ownership of the estimating function and work with minimal supervisionRequirementsAt least 5 years of experience in kitchen and joinery estimating, including curved and custom workExperience working on residential projects, with some exposure to commercial or shopfittingStrong English communication skills, both written and verbalProven ability to handle tenders and detailed project costingProactive, organized, and capable of managing responsibilities independentlyLong-term mindset and commitment to contributing to the businessWork Arrangement & Expectations:This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client workReflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)Originally posted on Himalayas
