Job DescriptionJob Title: Manager, Sales ExcellenceDepartment: MarketingReports To: Vice President, Product Marketing & Client SuccessClassification: ExemptManagement Level: Senior ManagerWork Location: United States (Remote)OverviewThe Manager, Sales Excellence, is responsible for designing, governing, and continuously improving how LanguageLine sells. This role goes beyond traditional sales training to own sales motion design, ensuring that sales methodology, messaging, content, and seller behavior are tightly aligned and consistently executed across the buyer journey.This leader will translate sales strategy and methodology into clear narratives, official sales collateral, presentations, talk tracks, and training experiences that enable sellers and client-facing teams to execute effectively in complex, high-stakes customer environments.The role manages two direct reports and works in close partnership with Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Client Success to drive measurable improvements in seller effectiveness and revenue outcomes.Key Essential FunctionsRevenue Enablement & Sales Motion DesignOwn the design and execution of LanguageLine’s sales motion, translating sales methodology into practical seller behaviors, talk tracks, and presentationsEnsure alignment between training, sales collateral, presentations, and manager coachingDefine and govern what is considered “official” sales content and messagingEstablish clear standards for sales narratives across stages, segments, and solutionsSales Training, Coaching & Seller ReadinessLead the strategy, development, and execution of sales and client-facing training programs, including onboarding and continuous learningOwn the sales manager coaching methodology and ensure it is consistently applied across the sales organizationServe as the “coach of the coaches,” enabling sales managers to effectively coach sellers using the established methodology available within the LanguageLine learning management system (Kinetics)Translate coaching methodology into practical tools, frameworks, and reinforcement routines for managersEnsure training and coaching content reflects real-world selling scenarios and reinforces the sales methodologyContinuously assess seller and manager performance to identify skill, knowledge, or execution gapsDesign reinforcement strategies in partnership with sales leadersLearning Platform & TechnologyOwn and optimize the learning management system (Kinetics) and digital enablement toolsOversee the design and build of product knowledge training modules within SynthesiaEnsure learning experiences are engaging, effective, and scalableCross-Functional PartnershipPartner closely with Sales leadership, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Client SuccessInfluence without direct authority to drive alignment and adoptionSupport LanguageLine’s Quality Management System (QMS) and continuous improvement effortsMeasurement & ImpactDefine and track metrics that demonstrate enablement impact on revenue outcomes (e.g., adoption, deal progression, effectiveness by sales motion)Use data and feedback to continuously refine enablement strategiesQualificationsRequired QualificationsDemonstrated experience designing, deploying, or governing sales manager coaching frameworksProven ability to develop sales managers as effective coaches, not just individual contributorsComfort serving as a trusted advisor to sales leadership on coaching effectiveness and seller performanceKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Bachelor’s degree10+ years of experience in sales, sales leadership, sales enablement, or related commercial rolesProven experience translating sales methodology into real-world seller executionExperience owning or governing sales training, messaging, and contentStrong executive presence and ability to influence senior sales leadersDemonstrated success managing people and developing talentDeep understanding of adult learning principles and curriculum designExperience working with LMS platforms and sales enablement technologiesPreferred QualificationsSales methodology certification (e.g., Kinetics, or similar)Experience in complex, enterprise, or regulated selling environmentsFamiliarity with Synthesia or similar digital learning/content-authoring platformsBackground working closely with Marketing and Sales OperationsTP Core Skills TaxonomyAI ProficiencyCollaborationCommunicationCritical ThinkingData LiteracyEmotional IntelligenceEntrepreneurshipOpen-MindednessProcess Excellence Solution OrientationWork EnvironmentRemoteTravel Requirements:10%Physical Requirements:Office Clerical CategoryCompliance RequirementsSupport LLS’ Quality Management System (QMS) to continually improve the Division’s processes, procedures, and services; and thereby increase efficiency, productivity, effectiveness, and customer satisfactionFor U.S. Positions: Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship.
