Financial Controller

This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a talented finance team while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and transparency in a fast\-paced environment. **Duties** * Lead the preparation and analysis of comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. * Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and month\-end closing procedures. * Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act), and other regulatory requirements across all financial activities. * Manage internal controls and conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations to verify data integrity. * Supervise the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; optimize spreadsheet use for data analysis and reporting. * Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting analysis to support strategic planning initiatives. * Coordinate external audits, prepare regulatory reports, and ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards for non\-profit or governmental entities if applicable. * Lead a high\-performing finance team by managing hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in financial management practices. * Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement. * Manage treasury functions including cash management strategies to optimize liquidity and support operational needs. **Skills** * Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance standards, and governmental or non\-profit accounting practices. * Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems; strong Excel data analysis skills using spreadsheets for detailed financial modeling. * Expertise in financial report writing with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and regulatory adherence. * Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, debits \& credits, and general ledger management. * Experience managing accounting teams with leadership skills that motivate high performance and professional growth. * Skilled in budgeting processes, forecasting techniques, cost accounting analysis, and financial management strat
