Job Description

**Job Summary** We are seeking a detail\-oriented and motivated Mid\-Level Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper is responsible for supporting client accounting operations \- working with a diverse group of small business owners, or their representatives, to ensure that their business books are accurate and up\-to\-date. **Remote Work Environment** This is a fully remote position with a collaborative virtual office. Team members begin their workday by joining our Zoom workspace, where we work together throughout the day, much like a traditional office environment. While independent work is expected, team members have continuous access to one another for questions, collaboration, and support. Dedicated breakout rooms are available for focused work, client meetings, training, and one\-on\-one discussions. **Key Responsibilities** * Using QuickBooks Online: * Record and maintain daily financial transactions. * Post accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. * Reconcile bank statements and company accounts. * Ensuring proper categorization of transactions * Assist with invoicing and billing. * Prepare basic financial reports and spreadsheets. * Maintain organized financial records and documentation. * Support month\-end, quart and year\-end closing activities. * Verify the accuracy of financial data and identify discrepancies. * Assist with payroll processing as needed. * Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding financial matters. * Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. * Use the project management platform to document tasks, and pertinent information as well as time tracking. **Remote Work Requirements** * Dedicated home office or quiet and confidential workspace * Reliable high\-speed internet service * Ability to attend Zoom meetings with clients and team members * Comfort working independently and managing priorities without direct supervision * Strong written communication skills * Consistent availability during agreed\-upon work hours **Qualifications** **Required** * High school diploma or equivalent. * Experience with working on multiple clients each month. * Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Good mathematical and analytical abilities. * Effective written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. * Keeping the Supervisors/Account Managers apprised of any client\-related issues or concerns in a timely manner. * Experience with the QuickBooks Online accounting software. * When something is new or unclear, seeks clarification and verifies information with account manager before making decisions. **Skills \& Competencies** * Accuracy and attention to detail * Time management and prioritization * Problem\-solving abilities * Data entry proficiency * Financi
