Job Description
**Legal Assistant / Paralegal \& Operations Coordinator (Part\-Time)**
**Location:** Kennebunk, Maine (On\-Site Initially; Hybrid/Remote Potential in Future)
**Schedule:** Approximately 16 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, generally 10:00 AM–2:00 PM. Schedule is flexible and may be adjusted by mutual agreement.
About the Position
Brady Law PLLC is a boutique law firm focused on business, real estate, and construction law. We represent entrepreneurs, contractors, developers, property owners, and growing businesses throughout Maine and New England.
We are seeking a highly organized, detail\-oriented, and proactive Legal Assistant / Paralegal \& Operations Coordinator to support the firm's legal work and assist with several related business ventures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and wants meaningful responsibility within a growing professional practice.
Primary Responsibilities – Legal Support
* Draft, proofread, format, and organize legal documents, correspondence, and contracts
* Prepare and manage client files and matter records
* Assist with document collection, review, and organization for transactions and disputes
* Coordinate client communications and follow\-up
* Manage calendars, appointments, deadlines, and reminders
* Assist with court filings, recording documents, and administrative legal tasks
* Conduct basic legal and factual research
* Maintain firm databases, templates, and records
* Support client intake and onboarding processes
* Help implement and improve office systems and workflows
Secondary Responsibilities – Business Operations Support
* Assist with bookkeeping and financial administration
* Organize invoices, receipts, and financial records
* Assist with data entry and reporting
* Help maintain websites, social media accounts, and marketing initiatives
* Assist with email marketing, newsletters, and client communications
* Provide administrative support for other business ventures owned by the firm's principal as needed
* Assist with special projects and operational initiatives
Qualifications
No experience is needed but the successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent written communication and organizational skills. Additional qualifications that would be helpful are:
* Experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, executive assistant, office manager, or similar administrative role preferred, but not required
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud\-based software platforms
* Comfort learning new technology and software systems
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
