An extraordinarily talented group of individuals work together every day to drive TNS' success, from both professional and personal perspectives.Come join the excellence!Overview· This Applications Support Engineer II designs, plans, installs, maintains and troubleshoots telecom applications and services · The position has a range of responsibilities and works with development, product management, network operations and external customers to plan, deploy and manage systems and services provided to TNS’ telecom customersResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties and Responsibilities: · Design, Plan, Install, Administer and Troubleshoot applications, systems, and services in production and lab/test environmentsAnalyze and resolve complex problems including interoperability issues caused by hardware, software, or network components Participate in architecture/design review, requirements analysis, capacity planning and provide guidance to development and product management teams Assist in Integration of applications and services with network management tools and other enterprise toolsDevelop KPIs and other system metrics for capacity planning, performance management, and monitoringOversee daily operations of large-scale carrier grade systems; schedule, document and implement maintenance and troubleshooting procedures as necessaryPro-actively communicate status to project managers, upper management, and customersParticipate in an on-call rotation to maintain 24x7 service support QualificationsQualifications: · 4+ years’ experience administering applications and services hosted on Linux (RHEL and derivate) operating systems2+ years’ experience planning, integrating, and operating carrier or enterprise grade high-availability telecom solutions Understanding of Systems and Network Architecture of large-scale distributed networksUnderstanding and working knowledge of IP networks and security devices including routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, and VPNs Experience integrating with monitoring, analytics, and network management tools and products such as SplunkPossess strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated problem solving and incident management skills Optional Desired Qualifications:Experience with an automation framework such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet · Experience with Foreman helpfulExperience with Virtualization software, such as VMware, helpful Scripting or coding experience is helpful Knowledge of and/or experience operating within a compliance framework, such as PCI, helpfulEducation and Certifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required · ITIL certification preferredIf you are passionate about technology, love personal growth and opportunity, come see what TNS is all about!TNS is an equal opportunity employer.
