As a mid-level QA professional, they play a key role in planning, designing, and executing manual and automated tests to ensure the functionality and stability of our public safety applications. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality across the software development lifecycle.What You DoDesign, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and test plans based on product requirements and user storiesEvaluate that test case acceptance criteria has been met.Identify, document, and track software defects through resolutionCollaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure product quality throughout the release cycleAnalyze test results, generate reports, and provide feedback to stakeholdersMaintain and enhance test scripts, frameworks, and automation suitesManually fly drones and test hardware to verify requirements are being metMentor junior QA team members and contribute to improving QA best practicesPerforms other related duties as assigned to support team objectives, departmental needs, and overall organizational priorities.What You BringDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience and training.2-5 years of professional experience in quality assurance or relevant testing role.Proficient in writing test cases, executing tests, and logging bugsFamiliarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Postman, etc.Experience with testing API’s, web applications, and/or mobile applications.Experience with using test management and bug tracking tools such as Gitlab, Jira, TestRailExperience working in Agile development environmentsExposure to CI/CD tooling, such as Gitlab, GitHub Actions, etcAbility to approach problems methodically and seek solutions with minimal guidance.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.Eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies.Clearance: Ability to pass a criminal background check for CJIS security requirements.Part 107 Drone Pilot licensePreferred:Austin, Texas locationISTQB or relevant certificationsFamiliarity with AI tooling in development workflowsVersaterm does not use AI in the recruitment process.
