Job Description
At Liferaft, we’re tackling some of the most complex challenges in the OSINT space - turning vast, messy data into actionable intelligence that matters. As a Junior Data Scientist, you won’t just support the team, you’ll be hands-on in uncovering patterns, building data pipelines, experimenting with cutting-edge AI, and shaping how our products evolve. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary group of data scientists, engineers, and product leaders, contributing ideas that directly impact real-world outcomes. If you’re curious, driven by data, and excited to explore the frontier of machine learning and large language models in a fast-moving environment, this is your opportunity to grow, innovate, and make a meaningful impact from day one.This is a temporary contract role (approximately 12 months) with the possibility of extension, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-growth SaaS company while collaborating with a dynamic and cross-functional team.What you do as the Junior Data Scientist at LiferaftIdentify valuable data sources and automate collection processesUndertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured dataConduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trendsPresent information using data visualization techniquesDrive innovation by staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI.Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, developers, and other stakeholders to understand the problem space and provide innovative and effective solutions.Incorporate fairness, transparency, and accountability into machine learning models and data-driven solutions to prevent bias and discrimination.Setup tracking and manage Pendo analytics platformBe an integral part of the LifeRaft Labs team and contribute ideas to solve complex challenges in the OSINT spaceRequirementsWhat You Need to Get the Job DoneExperience as a Data Scientist or similar relevant role.Experience with cleansing and handling large volumes of data, preparing datasets, manually evaluating data and spotting patterns in visualizationExperience with Python data stackExperience in prompt engineeringExperience with natural language processingExperience with data visualization in PythonExperience working with commercial or open source Large Language ModelsAnalytical mind and business acumenAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Passion for staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.Bonus Points ForExperience working with Rest APIsExperience working with Elastic Search or similar platformsExperience prototyping with the Streamlit framework or similarWe will value experience in language modeling, unsupervised methods (clustering)BenefitsWhy Liferaft?We pride ourselves on our innovative spirit and determination to help solve new challenges developed by the complexities of open source data.
