**Job Overview** We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Accountant to join our finance team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse accounting systems and contribute to the financial health of our organization. **Duties** * Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness. * Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining vendor and customer relationships. * Reconcile accounts regularly using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft, ensuring data integrity across systems like Workday, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, and Paychex. * Prepare financial reports and perform Excel data analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. * Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion while adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) compliance, and governmental accounting standards. * Assist with payroll management tasks using systems like ADP or UltiPro, ensuring accurate processing of employee wages and tax filings. * Support month\-end closing activities by reviewing transactions, performing account reconciliations, and preparing audit documentation as needed. **Experience** * Proven accounting experience with a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and financial concepts. * Experience working with multiple financial software platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar systems. * Familiarity with public accounting practices or governmental accounting standards is highly desirable. * Demonstrated ability to perform data entry accurately with a focus on numeracy skills and attention to detail. * Knowledge of technical accounting issues including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits \& credits, and account analysis. * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—especially Excel—for data analysis and spreadsheet management. * Prior experience in payroll management, bookkeeping, or non\-profit accounting is a plus.
