Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail\-oriented and highly organized **Accountant / Bookkeeper** to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day\-to\-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements. This role requires excellent analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to work independently while supporting the organization's financial goals. Key Responsibilities * Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounting documentation. * Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. * Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are up to date. * Process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense reports. * Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. * Support budgeting and cash flow management activities. * Prepare and file statutory tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations. * Manage payroll processing and maintain employee payroll records where applicable. * Monitor financial transactions to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. * Assist during internal and external audits by providing accurate financial information. * Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records. * Recommend process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Requirements * Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, or equivalent) is an added advantage. * Proven experience as an Accountant, Bookkeeper, or in a similar accounting role. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, or similar) and Microsoft Excel. * Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem\-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. * Good organizational and time\-management skills. * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
