Job Description

Freelance Project Manager for a 90\-Day Automation \& Internal Systems ProjectContract Snapshot * **Type:** Freelance / contract * **Length:** 90 days to start * **Environment:** Small team, remote, async\-friendly * **Focus:** Internal project management for automation, integration, and workflow projects * **Potential:** Could extend into ongoing work if the fit is strong I’m a **solo fractional integrations consultant** leading a 90\-day client engagement for a housing / construction company. I own the client relationship, strategic direction, scope judgment, and major decisions. I’m looking for a **freelance project manager** who can help keep the internal delivery side organized, moving, and accountable. This is not a generic PM role and it is not a builder role. I do **not** need someone to personally implement automations. I need someone who can keep a small stack of technical and operations projects moving across freelancers, tools, decisions, and deadlines. What This Role Is Responsible For You would help manage delivery across several concurrent workstreams, including things like: * workflow and process improvement projects * document and data handling workflows * inspection\-related workflow coordination / automation * a sales\-chat or lead\-routing workflow that needs hardening and launch support * daily\-log, task, and internal ops workflow improvements * tool handoffs and integration\-related coordination across vendors Your job is to make sure the work stays clear, tracked, and moving. What Success Looks Like in 90 Days By the end of the initial contract, I should feel: * clear on project status at all times * more in control of scope, budget, and priorities * confident that freelancers know what they own and are being followed up with * confident that project decisions are being captured and turned into action * less pulled into chasing updates or reconstructing status by hand A successful person in this role will create **clarity, follow\-through, and momentum**. What You’d Own Day to Day * Coordinate freelancers and keep deliverables, deadlines, and handoffs clear * Track timelines, dependencies, blockers, and next actions * Help maintain budget visibility and flag scope creep early * Turn meetings and decisions into organized follow\-up * Keep written project documentation current and usable * Surface risks, tradeoffs, and issues before they become problems * Help keep automation and integration work moving across systems, people, and vendors * Occasionally sit in on a client call when useful for continuity and context What I Will Own * Client relationship * Strategic direction * Scope judgment * Final approvals and key decisions * High\-stakes conversations Working Style / Environment You’d work directly with me in a small\-team environment. I want someone who is: * proactive * organized * calm in written communication * good at follow\-through * comfortable with ambiguity * able to get up to speed by reading
