Job Description
**About the Role**
We are a fast\-growing independent financial publishing firm looking for a rare breed of analyst: someone who bridges the gap between deep, contrarian macro research and crystal\-clear, narrative\-driven storytelling.
If you read Jim Grant, Lyn Alden, or Chris Weber and think, *"I can write like that,"* this role is for you. We don't just publish data; we publish high\-conviction, story\-driven research that helps our readers navigate complex markets. We are looking for an obsessive market historian who can pull a reader down the page and make global liquidity, central banking, and market infrastructure genuinely fascinating.
What You'll Do
* **Generate High\-Conviction Ideas:** Monitor global macro trends, monetary policy, and structural market shifts to identify contrarian investment themes.
* **Write with Impact:** Translate complex market plumbing and economic indicators into highly engaging, accessible, and persuasive essays for our premium newsletters and advisory services.
* **Connect the Dots:** Synthesize historical market cycles with present\-day price action, providing our subscribers with a multi\-decade perspective on fiat currencies, tangible assets, and systemic risk.
* **Collaborate on Strategy:** Work directly with our publishing and marketing teams to ensure the core thesis of your research translates effectively into front\-end promotional materials, direct\-response copy, and high\-ticket service deliverables.
Who You Are
* **An Autodidact:** We don't care if you have an MBA. We care if you’ve been obsessed with the markets for years and actively study financial history.
* **A Master Translator:** You despise academic jargon. You know how to explain structural changes in repo rates or futures margins in a way that is engaging, urgent, and easily understood by retail and sophisticated investors alike.
* **Direct\-Response Minded:** You understand that financial writing isn't just about being right—it's about holding attention. You have a natural instinct for pacing, hooks, and narrative structure.
* **A Systems Thinker:** You look beyond just the standard technicals or fundamentals. You are comfortable analyzing order flow, auction market theory, and broad liquidity to form your thesis.
