This role focuses on designing and implementing user facing flows, building robust and scalable APIs, and integrating with third party services such as Plaid or SendGrid to support critical banking functionality.
You will contribute production grade code with strong documentation and testing, bringing a systems thinking mindset to feature development and prioritizing reliability through thoughtful error handling, logging, and edge case coverage. You will help translate complex product requirements into elegant, maintainable solutions, and actively shape architecture through strong technical judgment, clear communication, and well reasoned decision making.
This role also includes mentoring and enabling the team through technical guidance, thoughtful code reviews, and continuous improvement that raises the overall engineering bar.Key Responsibilities & Duties:Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams while constantly setting and communicating team priorities that support the broader organization's goals Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goalsMeet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coachingDevelop the mid-term technical vision and roadmap within the scope of your team(s)Evolve the technical roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needsDesign, guide and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problemsReview code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)Constantly review infrastructure metrics, SLA’s, quality metrics to ensure the right technical investments in the platform and its capabilities to meet current and future goals while optimizing costsWork with Product Management to collaborate through creative brainstorming sessions and assist in writing requirements for technical debtQualifications: 2 years of experience in a technology leadership role, with a proven track record of building and leading a high-performing teamMinimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering with hands-on codingStrong background in object oriented programming such as React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Python. Strong experience building Systems and API development. Strong experience working with eventing technologies such as Kafka.
