Computer Hardware Procurement Specialist

This is a remote position.We are seeking to employ an innovative, competent, qualified, and experienced Computer Hardware Procurement Specialist.PurposeHave a love for technology and be willing to use passion and expertise to help guide clients to get the best solutions for their needs be it, workstations, laptops, monitors, servers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, UPS, line of business applications, etc.Job RequirementSend requested hardware quotes to clients. Research new and innovative products/solutions relevant to the company’s service offeringMonitor quality and cost of products being sold and make recommendations accordingly to the sales and service teamWork with vendors to negotiate the best price possible Ensure hardware is purchased cost-effectively to meet client deadlines and allow the service team sufficient time to configure and deployProactively communicate estimated time of arrival to both the service team and the clientTimely return/exchange of defective products • Inventory controlDevelop relationships with vendors and suppliers to improve the company’s purchasing powerResearch best pricing as client liaison to vendors Keep on top of vendor incentive programs/ways to increase margins RequirementsQualificationsExperience in the computer services industry Well-developed interpersonal customer service and relationship building skills Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Personal AttributesGood oral and written English-language skills Strong organizational and time management skills An ability to work independently with minimal supervision The ability to work under pressure and to prioritize work effectively • Attention to detailSelf-motivated, energetic, and reliable with a positive disposition An acceptance of, and commitment to work according to, the organization’s policy BenefitsCompensation and Other:Commensurate with experienceInterested, qualified persons may apply to:This position will remain open for a minimum of five (5) days after which it will close when a qualified candidate is identified and/or hired.
