Job Description

**Job Summary** We are seeking a detail\-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health by performing precise data entry, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission\-driven organization that values integrity, accuracy, and efficiency. **Responsibilities** * Manage day\-to\-day bookkeeping activities including data entry of journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. * Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data. * Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). * Conduct account reconciliation procedures to verify the integrity of financial information across multiple systems. * Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. * Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and revenue against forecasts, providing insights for financial planning. * Maintain meticulous records of journal entries, debits \& credits, and other bookkeeping documentation for audit readiness. **Qualifications** * Proven experience in corporate accounting or non\-profit accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts. * Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with Quicken is a plus. * Knowledge of double\-entry bookkeeping principles, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation processes. * Experience with governmental accounting standards and tax\-related procedures is preferred. * Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills; ability to perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliation accurately. * Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and financial report writing. * Ability to handle high\-volume data entry tasks efficiently using 10 key typing skills; understanding of GAAP standards is essential. * Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem\-solving within a team environment.
