HIM Coding Analyst- Remote

Communicates, educates, and establishes accountability by identifying trends, and reporting findings to the responsible user and department operational leadership, as well as to the HIM and Coding Management team . Maintains spreadsheets with trending data to generate reports for use by HIM Coding Management, to facilitate resolution and eliminate future occurrences. Coordinates and leads discussions and meetings with department leadership to communicate the issues identified in trending. Works independently with minimal supervision. Contents are subject to change at the company's discretion. **Education** Required \- Bachelor’s degree Preferred \- Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications. **Work Experience** Required \- 3 years experience in HIM or related health care field OR an Associate Degree with degree with 5 years experience in Health Information Management or related healthcare field. Preferred\- Experience in HIM Dept with an electronic medical record. Basic knowledge of coding practices. **Certifications** Preferred \- RHIT, RHIA, CCS, and/or CPC\-H certifications **Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)** * Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information. * Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally. * Must be proficient with Windows\-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Good organizational skills, time management skills, and strong follow\-through capabilities. * Ability to exercise good judgment and work with medical staff, nursing staff, ancillary departments and co
