**Read this first:** This is a senior, in\-office leadership role within a fast\-moving, early\-stage software environment. If you are looking for a remote, fractional, or agency\-side role where you only set the strategy and delegate the work, **this is not a fit for you.** **The Role: More Than Just "Management"** We are running a confidential search for a**Vice President of Marketing** **for our softwarestartup.** We are building something significant. We need a builder anda leader who takes absolute ownership, shows up every day, and thrives in the "doing." You need to be a marketing generalist, comfortable with strategizing, planning, creating, and executing marketing content across multiple channels. We aren’t hiring a figurehead to manage a team. As our VP of Marketing, you will own the entire function. In our startup environment, that means you are a player\-coach: you define the vision, and then you execute the campaigns to bring that vision to life. You will wear multiple hats simultaneously—strategist, copywriter, designer, analyst, and project manager. You must be comfortable pivoting from a high\-level board room discussion to pixel\-pushing a slide deck or writing a high\-converting email blast in the same afternoon. What You Will Own **1\. Strategic Vision \& Execution** * **Strategy/Tactics/Scheduling \& Planning/Creation:** Set the marketing roadmap across all brands. You won’t just approve strategies; you will build the tactics to execute them, and then where necessary, execute. * **Own the Timeline:** We move fast. You are the final stop for all marketing deliverables. You own the calendar, the quality, and the performance. * **High\-Stakes Campaigns:** Lead and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously. If a campaign is lagging, you don’t just report it—you fix it. **2\. Tactical Hands\-On Content \& Design** * **The Content Architect:** You will write copy, draft email sequences, create web content, and develop publicity materials. * **Design \& Brand:** You are responsible for the aesthetic and technical quality of our output. You will produce premium branded presentations and partner with vendors to generate top\-tier photo and video assets. * **Wear many hats:** From social media strategy to performance marketing, you are in the trenches. You will set the tone on social channels, manage the daily output, and ensure our brand voice is consistent, sharp, and effective. What You Bring **Required:** * **Proven Execution:** 4\+ years leading marketing in a technical/B2B software environment.
