Embedded within Mission Systems, you’ll serve as a strategic business partner to Program Managers and Government/Prime customers, shaping pursuits, negotiating complex agreements, and guiding contract execution in a highly regulated, high-visibility defense environment. This individual contributor position offers the opportunity to directly influence mission-critical programs while operating at the intersection of strategy, compliance, and customer engagement.From capture and proposal development through negotiation and full lifecycle contract management, you’ll provide sound business judgment across Cost Plus and Firm Fixed Price development programs. You’ll assess contractual risk, craft negotiation strategies, ensure FAR/DFARS compliance, and lead disciplined change management processes that protect the business while enabling program success. If you thrive in complex environments, enjoy executive-level collaboration, and are motivated by work that supports strategic national defense priorities, this role offers both impact and visibility.What You Will Do:Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and frequently influence business decisionsImplement strategies to improve acquisition timelines and customer pace of contractual actionsInvestigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking innovative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholdersProvide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changesReview proposals to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements, represent a balanced risk/opportunity posture and deliver a financially sound business case while meeting company policies and standardsDevelop pre-negotiation objectives and implement negotiation strategy reviews as part of the proposal development processAdvises the Collins Program Management Office as well as the Government of changes to contract requirements and ensures a robust change management process is in place to identify, communicate, adjudicate, negotiate, and implement changes to contract requirementsTravel 10%-15%Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
