Your primary goal is to eliminate manual, repetitive tasks, standardize infrastructure operations, and improve reliability and efficiency across engineering environments.By integrating automation solutions with the Common Data Backbone, you will enable consistent configuration, streamlined data management, and scalable infrastructure operations. Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks for on-prem infrastructureAutomate system configuration, provisioning, and maintenance using Ansible and PythonReduce manual effort and operational errors by automating repetitive tasksOptimize infrastructure-related process flows and operational workflowsIntegrate automation solutions with the Common Data BackboneDevelop and maintain Python and Ansible-based tools and scriptsContinuously improve and extend automation capabilities based on evolving infrastructure needsCollaborate closely with infrastructure and engineering teams Requirements:Background in System Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, or AutomationStrong hands-on experience with Ansible (mandatory), Jenkins, and DockerSolid scripting skills in Python (mandatory); Bash is a plusExperience automating on-prem infrastructure environmentsUnderstanding of infrastructure lifecycle, configuration management, and operational processesAbility to analyze and automate complex workflowsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsFluent in English (German is a plus) Nice to Have:Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, etc.)Exposure to Infrastructure as Code conceptsBasic knowledge of containers (nice-to-have, not core)Originally posted on Himalayas
