Job Description
**Social Media Coordinator (Contract or Internship)**
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Sports Spectrum is a faith and sports media platform that tells the stories of athletes, coaches, and leaders living out their faith through podcasts, articles, and video. As we grow, social media has become a primary front door for new audiences and a key way to engage our current ones.
We are looking for a Social Media Coordinator to extend the reach of Sports Spectrum content, turn long\-form material into compelling short\-form video, and build an active, gospel\-centered community around the brand. This role can be structured as a paid contract for an experienced candidate or as an internship for an emerging creator building a portfolio in faith\-based sports media.
Engagement type: Part\-time contract or internship (flexible based on candidate experience)
Hours: Approximately 15 to 25 hours per week
Location: Remote, with occasional travel for event and content capture
Reports to: Sports Spectrum Content Director
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
* Cut and edit short\-form video from podcasts, interviews, and event footage for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
* Design on\-brand social graphics, carousels, and stories
* Write captions in the Sports Spectrum voice: authentic, gospel\-centered, and relational
* Plan and execute a monthly content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and Facebook
* Manage daily community engagement, including comments, messages, and audience interaction
* Surface and tell stories of impact from athletes, coaches, and leaders
* Track performance metrics and use them to refine strategy
* Support email newsletters and website updates that extend social content
* Collaborate with the content and production team on launches and campaigns
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
Experience scales with how the role is structured. A contract candidate should bring 2 or more years managing social media professionally with a portfolio of short\-form video. An intern should bring a personal portfolio and working knowledge of video editing and design. In both cases, we want someone who:
* Loves Jesus and aligns with the mission and values of Sports Spectrum
* Has a strong eye for short\-form video, design, and storytelling
* Writes well and picks up brand voice quickly
* Is proactive, organized, and dependable
* Knows current platforms, trends, and growth strategies (Canva required; Adobe a plus)
**NICE TO HAVE**
* Experience in sports, media, or faith\-based organizations
* Live event content capture
* Podcast promotion and distribution
**HOW TO APPLY**
Email a resume, a short note on why this role fits, and a portfolio or links to short\-form video samples to press@sportsspectrum.com. Please indicate whether you are applying for the contract or internship track.
Pay: $20\.00 \- $25\.00 per hour
Work Location: Remote
