**Social Media Coordinator (Contract or Internship)** **ABOUT THE ROLE** Sports Spectrum is a faith and sports media platform that tells the stories of athletes, coaches, and leaders living out their faith through podcasts, articles, and video. As we grow, social media has become a primary front door for new audiences and a key way to engage our current ones. We are looking for a Social Media Coordinator to extend the reach of Sports Spectrum content, turn long\-form material into compelling short\-form video, and build an active, gospel\-centered community around the brand. This role can be structured as a paid contract for an experienced candidate or as an internship for an emerging creator building a portfolio in faith\-based sports media. Engagement type: Part\-time contract or internship (flexible based on candidate experience) Hours: Approximately 15 to 25 hours per week Location: Remote, with occasional travel for event and content capture Reports to: Sports Spectrum Content Director **WHAT YOU WILL DO** * Cut and edit short\-form video from podcasts, interviews, and event footage for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts * Design on\-brand social graphics, carousels, and stories * Write captions in the Sports Spectrum voice: authentic, gospel\-centered, and relational * Plan and execute a monthly content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and Facebook * Manage daily community engagement, including comments, messages, and audience interaction * Surface and tell stories of impact from athletes, coaches, and leaders * Track performance metrics and use them to refine strategy * Support email newsletters and website updates that extend social content * Collaborate with the content and production team on launches and campaigns **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR** Experience scales with how the role is structured. A contract candidate should bring 2 or more years managing social media professionally with a portfolio of short\-form video. An intern should bring a personal portfolio and working knowledge of video editing and design. In both cases, we want someone who: * Loves Jesus and aligns with the mission and values of Sports Spectrum * Has a strong eye for short\-form video, design, and storytelling * Writes well and picks up brand voice quickly * Is proactive, organized, and dependable * Knows current platforms, trends, and growth strategies (Canva required; Adobe a plus) **NICE TO HAVE** * Experience in sports, media, or faith\-based organizations * Live event content capture * Podcast promotion and distribution **HOW TO APPLY** Email a resume, a short note on why this role fits, and a portfolio or links to short\-form video samples to press@sportsspectrum.com.
