Medical Transcriptionist

Ditto Transcripts is looking for experienced remote medical transcriptionists to join our team as independent contractors. This is a remote position, and applicants must live in the United States. We are not able to accept applicants who live in California, Massachusetts, Utah, or New Jersey. This role is best for transcriptionists who have strong medical transcription experience, can work in more than one medical field, and can meet daily production and client due dates with little supervision. **Position Type** Independent Contractor Remote United States only Not open to applicants in California, Massachusetts, Utah, or New Jersey **Schedule** This is a flexible schedule role, Monday through Friday. You may choose your own work hours as long as assigned work is completed by the required client deadline. Some files may have same day or next day due dates, so strong time management is required. **Daily Production Requirement** Contractors must be able to complete at least **1,250 lines per day** when work is available. Applicants should be comfortable with steady medical transcription volume and able to meet quality and deadline requirements daily. **Medical Fields** Applicants must be able to transcribe across multiple medical specialties, including but not limited to: Primary care Orthopedics Psychiatry Behavioral health Internal medicine Surgery Pain management Physical therapy Specialty clinic notes **Main Duties** Transcribe medical dictation at a 99% accuracy rate. Complete assigned work by the required client deadline. Follow client templates, formatting rules, and account instructions. Review work before turning it in to check for spelling, grammar, medical terms, and formatting. Research medical terms, medications, procedures, and provider names when needed. Maintain patient privacy and follow all confidentiality rules including HIPAA. Communicate with the team if there are questions, audio issues, or deadline concerns. **Requirements** Must live in the United States Must not live in California, Massachusetts, Utah, or New Jersey. Prior medical transcription experience required of three years. Ability to complete at least 1,250 lines per day. Experience with more than one medical specialty. Strong knowledge of medical terms, medications, procedures, and common report types. Excellent spelling, grammar, and listening skills. Ability to follow detailed client instructions. Reliable computer, internet connection, and transcription software. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Must be available Monday through Friday. **Preferred Experience** Experience with clinic notes, chart notes, letters, evaluations, and reports. Experience with ESL dictators. Experience with poor or difficult audio. Experience with multiple specialties and multiple client formats. Prior independent contractor transcription experience.
