Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounting Technician (1099 Contractor - Remote)

Convergent Consulting Group is a fractional CFO and General Counsel practice supporting growth\-stage companies navigating complex financial and regulatory environments. We are hiring a part\-time bookkeeper to support one of our clients, a product\-based company currently implementing a compliance\-oriented chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online. **What You'll Do** * Maintain accurate books in QuickBooks Online, including transaction coding, reconciliations, and journal entries * Execute bookkeeping in accordance with a structured, policy\-driven chart of accounts (training provided on client\-specific structure) * Coordinate with the fractional CFO on month\-end close, coding questions, and account review * Flag anomalies and escalate issues rather than resolving independently * Support periodic reporting and assist with documentation for compliance purposes **What We're Looking For** * 3\+ years of bookkeeping experience with demonstrated QBO proficiency — class tracking, custom charts of accounts, reconciliations, and journal entries are table stakes * Experience supporting multiple clients or working in a bookkeeping/accounting services environment preferred * Exposure to job costing, project\-based accounting, or manufacturing clients is a meaningful plus * Reliable, detail\-oriented, and comfortable operating in a structured, policy\-driven environment * Self\-directed with strong async communication habits — this is a remote, flexible\-hours role **Engagement Details** * 1099 independent contractor * Approximately 10–20 hours per week to start, with growth potential as the practice expands * Fully remote; must be authorized to work in the United States * Hourly compensation commensurate with experience **To Apply** Send a brief message describing your QBO experience, the types of clients you've supported, and your hourly rate.
