Job Description SummaryThe Projects Sourcing Specialist is responsible for optimizing sourcing processes, collaborating with cross-functional support teams to identify and close process gaps, and driving lean initiatives supporting the Gas Power Americas Indirect Sourcing team. The Project Sourcing Specialist will develop and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement of Sourcing activities within the region, and support team members with day-to-day sourcing activities (supplier onboarding, supplier management, buy channel / global part number management, savings management, S2P issue coordination, ComplyWorks certifications, etc.). The Project Sourcing Specialist will also lead competitive bids and negotiations, consistent with established commodity strategies, to drive the best quality, delivery, pricing and commercial terms with key suppliers.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities: • Analyze data and collaborate with Commodity Leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, and suppliers to eliminate waste and optimize sourcing activities • Coordinate with designated support teams (Analytics, ERP, Buy Desk, etc.) to ensure efficient execution of sourcing activities • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement sourcing processes and strategies • Execute competitive bids and negotiations consistent with established commodity strategies • Drive standardized sourcing processes to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets • Lead and collaborate on continuous improvement / lean projects • Act as a resource for colleagues and stakeholders on sourcing processes and systems Qualifications/Requirements • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Job Family Group/Function). • 5+ years' experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain • Experience in Sourcing processes and systems • Strong customer-service mindset and ability to collaborate cross-functionally • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • Experience leading RFQs and supplier negotiations • Fast learner able to handle multiple tasks in parallel Desired Characteristics • Strong knowledge of Gas Power Indirect Sourcing strategies, processes and systems • Ability to analyze data and work collaboratively to identify and execute improvement opportunities• Strong project management skillsStrong analytical/problem solving skills including solid knowledge of MS Office tools Additional InformationGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
