Business Development Assistant – Global Pharma Sourcing **Location: Hybrid/** Remote / California preferred **Employment Type:** Part\-time, Full\-time, or Contract , potential to full time in 3 months **Reports To:** Business Development Director Role Summary We are seeking a **Business Development Assistant** to support a global pharma sourcing and commercialization business. The role focuses on customer outreach, lead generation, email follow\-up, calendar coordination, and inquiry management for API and pharmaceutical product opportunities across California and the U.S. Key Responsibilities * Make cold calls and send professional emails to pharma companies, pharmacies, compounding pharmacies, CDMOs, distributors, and healthcare buyers. * Identify new customer opportunities for APIs, finished products, and pharmaceutical sourcing needs. * Collect customer requirements such as product name, quantity, target price, documents needed, and timeline. * Follow up on inbound inquiries, customer responses, supplier updates, and pending opportunities. * Assist the Business Development Director with calendar management, meeting scheduling, reminders, and email responses. * Prepare simple lead lists, customer notes, meeting summaries, and follow\-up trackers. * Coordinate basic information between customers, suppliers, and internal leadership. * Maintain organized records of leads, calls, emails, inquiries, and next steps. Required Skills * Strong phone and email communication skills. * Comfortable with cold calling and professional follow\-up. * Organized, detail\-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks. * Basic knowledge of pharma, healthcare, APIs, or B2B sales preferred. * Ability to use email, calendar tools, spreadsheets, and online research. * Self\-motivated and able to work independently. Preferred Experience * Sales support, business development, virtual assistant, pharma sales, healthcare sales, lead generation, or customer service experience. * Familiarity with APIs, compounding pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, or medical product sourcing is a plus. Compensation **Range:** $20–$35 per hour, depending on experience, with possible performance\-based incentives.
