In this vital role you will act as a key advisor to CfOR senior leadership on investment decisions, trade-offs, and operational strategy.Financial & Resource StrategyLead end-to-end financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling aligned to global R&D processesDrive disciplined resource allocation to maximize impact of RWE investmentsEstablish scalable, standardized approaches to budget management and reportingOperations & Team LeadershipLead and develop a high-performing operations team across budgeting, contracting, supplier management, and process excellenceTranslate ambiguous business needs into structured plans, priorities, and execution roadmapsEnsure delivery of high-quality forecasts, reporting, and business insightsSupplier & External Ecosystem ManagementOversee strategic supplier relationships supporting external and internal researchPartner with Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) to optimize contracting, performance, and value deliveryDrive best practices in supplier strategy and governanceCross-functional LeadershipPartner with GSS, Legal, Finance, Medical, Health Economics, and R&D Strategy & Operations to align on priorities and executionRepresent CfOR in enterprise initiatives, governance and operating reviewsLead or influence process improvement and transformation effortsInsights & Decision SupportDeliver executive-level reporting, dashboards, and business reviewsConduct root cause analyses to inform decisions and continuous improvementEnable data-driven decision-making across CfOR leadershipWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professional we seek is a leader with these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of budget and contracting experience OrMaster’s degree and 4 years of budget and contracting experience OrBachelor’s degree and 6 years of budget and contracting experience OrAssociate’s degree and 10 years of budget and contracting experience OrHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of budget and contracting experiencePreferred Qualifications:MBA or Master’s Degree with 10 years of work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry with 4 or more years of that experience in R&D with good knowledge of clinical development, financial budgeting, and workforce strategiesLeadership & influence - Proven experience leading teams and developing talent. Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills across functions and levelsStrategic thinking & problem solving - Ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems with pragmatic, high-impact solutions. Experience operating in complex, matrixed R&D environmentsExecution & operations - Strong program and project management skills with demonstrated end-to-end delivery.
